I feel there’s a fine line between drinking a mocktail and .. just juice. Am I actually drinking a mocktail or is it basically flavored juice?
Phillips Brewing & Malting Company, based in Victoria, British Columbia, boasts the Sparkmouth brand of craft sodas and sparkling waters. In recent years, it evolved into developing Lime Margarita, Moscow Mule and Mimosa alcohol-free drinks.
I went with a Lime Margarita because I love a good margarita.
My Review – Sparkmouth’s Lime Margarita Mocktail (355 ml, 80 calories)
Name bling (name creativity) – Sparkmouth’s Lime Margarita Mocktail isn’t overly creative for a name. But if we were to look at the brand name, we something. After much digging, I figured out the name “Sparkmouth” is based on the company’s mission to deliver “sparkling, flavourful, and refreshing” alcohol-free options. I love the meaningful word play. ⭐⭐⭐
Sip n’ Savour (taste) – For me, the biggest selling point is the Just Sweet Enough promise. Sweetness is usually my biggest hesitation to mixed drinks. I always lean towards sour or tart than sweet. Thankfully, the drink lived up to its name. I usually pour my mixed drinks over a glass filled with ice cubes to dilute the sweetness, but this was perfect straight out of the can. Balanced, bright and genuinely a nice drink. My only complaint was the small can. I wanted more. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wallet Wellness Index (value for money) – Four mocktails come in a cool, compact box for $12.99 at Shoppers Drugmart. I think it was adequately priced for the taste. ⭐⭐⭐
Label Love (packaging/presentation) – I loved, loved the yellow-lime packaging of the box. The vibe screamed party in a can. I’m a big fan of simple marketing, and all the elements on the box worked together. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall – This is delicious-tasting margarita mocktail. I would definitely buy it again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
