It’s Thursday so that means I have another fantastic runner to introduce you to! Give it up for Sari from Toronto who has a decade of running under her belt.

1) Why did you start running? What pushes you to keep going? I wanted something active I could do so I started running. I found it difficult at first, but
kept at it.
2) What is your running/fitness routine for a typical week? It varies. I’m in post-marathon recovery now but I will start slowly again- 3-4 days a week.
3) What is your favourite distance to run? Why? Half Marathon. I like the distance becuase it’s a challenging distance but still really fun to run, and the recovery time isn’t that long.
4) Best running memory? Crossing the finish line of my first Ultra Marathon (50K). Friends were waiting to cheer me on and I felt pretty good once I finished the race. It was a very long day!
5) Do you run solo or with a group? Solo for long runs and with the group for shorter distances.
6) What is your dream race? Boston Marathon so that shall remain a dream. I would love to run the Napa Valley Half Marathon one day.
7) How many medals do you own? There are about 50 medals and I have two medal racks where they hang.
8) Do you have any current running goals? To get faster
9) What is your worst running moment? My first marathon. It was painful. I had hip injuries and should not have run that race, but I was stubborn and had my heart set on it. I was very happy when it was over.
10) If you could tell your younger (less experienced) running self something, what would you say?
