Marathon Monday: Calgary Marathon (Week 5 Training Recap)

What a difference a week can make! Call last week’s freak out a simple cause of the nerves. I feel so much better about my training today. I always feel a little off in the last few weeks.

I just want to get the training over and run the damn marathon! Ha ha

Monday’s crossfit WOD was tough! Part of the WOD was weighted lunges! I don’t think I fully recovered until Wednesday! This work better pay off. Lunges are never on my “to do” list.

I took a step back on my long run this week. My body needed the break. I feel pretty good about my long runs overall. I’m crossing my fingers I have done enough to get me through to the finish line on June 1. But you know what? There will always be another marathon. 





Week 5
Monday: Crossfit (morning) and (2K #RuntoCanadaDay)
Tuesday: 10K
Wednesday: Crossfit (morning) + 5K (evening)
Thursday: 10K
Friday: Crossfit (morning) (2K #RuntoCanadaDay)
Saturday: 12K (6x800m)
Sunday: 20K LSD
