Sunshine is my greatest motivator. This week I missed my interval training but I am pleased with my long run and strength training. I felt very tired on some days but I still managed to keep the #RunToCanadaDay streak alive. (Who’s idea was this madness?)
Week 8
I know my mileage may look too low for some marathoners but this training actually works for me. Once I switch over to ultra training in June, I will be upping my mileage.
In the meantime, I truly believe with crossfit in my training mix, I am becoming a stronger and smarter marathoner. I make sure every run has a specific purpose and I listen to my body. I’ll be focusing on tempo runs and intervals in the coming weeks. Let there be sunshine! I feel a little behind the eight ball though because I have not run any tune up races. Yikes! I hope I don’t regret this come June 1.
Another solid week of training! I'm very curious what your ultra training looks like? How many km a week will you do roughly?
Hmm not sure yet 🙂 I know there will be a lot of hill training and back-to-back long runs. This 50K in September will be a killer.
What kind of exercises do you do in crossfit?
Thanks for linking up at my Weekly Run Report Linky.
A combo of olympic weight lifting, gymnastics and body weight movements. It's really diverse. Every day is something new. That's why I love it.
Looks like a great running week to me! We finally got some sunshine here but the temperature is going to drop again! 🙁
Yay! Sunshine is awesome!
