Marathon Monday: Week 12 Tucson Training

And the snow keeps coming …. You’d think it was winter or something. I didn’t let the massive amounts of snow get in my way of my training. Believe me it was not easy! So far this month our city received more snow than they typically do by the end of January. 
Crazy! Not only was it very challenging to drive, it was pure chaos for running. I was lucky if I found a good stretch of cleared sidewalk or trail. 

Week 12:

Monday: 5k (bike) and lower strength

Tuesday: 5K easy

Wednesday: Rest

Thursday: 6K tempo

Friday: 6K easy run

Saturday: 10K Tempo (4x400m)/Strength

Sunday: 20K LSD

Let the tapering begin! I’ve been looking forward to this for a few weeks. Time to kick back and get my rest and recovery on!

  1. I always get scared road running in the snow, that I'm going to slip and fall over. Good for you going out in it…I normally just hide away in the house! Fortunately we don't often get snow where I live, just a lot of rain 🙂

  2. I think I would be confused with rain. Ha ha but I would definitely take it over the snow.
