and on to the next challenge – when you're single, you have the time

So I have to get serious. I only have two weeks to get ready for the Death Race. I’m seriously worried. Every time I tell someone which leg, I am doing they either laugh or raise their eyebrows and look me up and down. Talk about a confidence killer.

The plan is to go to Grande Cache every weekend until the race, and do killer hill runs at the Wapiti Nordic trails during the week. I hope the bears don’t mind.

I started off with a light hill thingy tonight to ease my body into my tougher routine. I have to make sure I eat well. I am thinking, I should write down my food and water intake in my running diary. Then I can identify the crap I eat, and when I don’t eat.

We are at good staffing numbers for the remainder of the summer. A big sigh of relief. We hired a new perm guy, recently and a summer hire. That will ease the work load and my stress level.

  2. You should go run the bike trails at Nitehawk. Especially the black diamond on along the far side!Amanda
