Running Update

I ran 8k in 44 minutes. I know that may not sound fast to you but it felt fast to me. I ran into the wind and up hills and down hills. I felt pretty good after. I’m really gunning to make it under the two hour mark in Red Deer. I don’t know if I am training enough or properly.

I’ve been reading too much info on training – speed training, hill training etc. It’s all so confusing. One thing I have added in is the hill repeats. I’ve been doing them for a couple weeks now and all is good. Audrey has committed to coming with me… so I have no excuses.

Tonight, I didn’t use my Ipod when I ran. I don’t know when I started running with it again. I remember Amber saying not to use one and so I stopped. But some how I got back into the bad habit.

I think that’s why I felt so good running tonight. I was paying attention to my breathing and my time. My pace is still all over the map but that’s fine with me.
