Get outside: For the run of it

Hello friends.

I found my new favourite snack but first let’s delve into the running. Last night I ran at Riverbend with Pedro. It was pitch black when we arrived. Thankfully Pedro has the good sense to use the flashlight on his phone (at least it’s good for something) because the batteries in my Petzl had clearly seen better days.

We ran short as someone (not naming names) was worried about bumping into the creatures of the night. Oh man it was just great to get outside and some fresh air. I’ve been stuck in the office too much lately.

I have a sore throat so I decided to nip it in the bud with some Cold 911 from David’s Tea and a rest day. It seemed to do the trick because I was feeling well enough for a short run later in the day. Fingers crossed. I hate being sick! I turn into a big baby.

You may noticed I have been neglecting my blog lately. I still have work to do with the reboot but I have been too busy studying for my coach exam. It’s in a little over three weeks. Once I ace the exam I will have more time to work on the blog. (Thanks for your patience!)

In the meantime I have found my new must-have snack. Salt & Vinegar Chickpeas. Usually I am all about the spicy treats but I wanted to surprise my tastebuds with a different flavour.

Love them! And they are almost too easy to make. All you need is (love), chickpeas, vinegar, salt and oil. Simply soak the chickpeas in vinegar for 30 minutes or so before draining them and spreading them on parchment paper on a baking tray. Sprinkle some oil and salt on the chickpeas. Massage away before putting them in the oven for 30 minutes. After the time is up, let them cool for a few minutes.

Presto! I swear they are better than popcorn!
