Catching up with old friends

Doesn’t it feel great to connect with an old friend?

My pal Sara from my media days in Grande Prairie is in town visiting her parents. She’s originally from Rocky and spent her younger days in Red Deer. Her parents relocated to Red Deer so I get to see her whenever she’s visiting them.

I’ve been trying to plan and organise my packing and such before I leave on Saturday but I didn’t want to miss up a chance to catch up.

We decided to check out To The Lost, a new cocktail bar in downtown Red Deer. It’s probably the only cocktail bar in Red Deer if I think about it. We sat outside the patio to be entertained by a number of piano players on the Ross Street Patio.

It was nice to kick back and get caught up on one another’s lives. We went for a walk in the Parkvale neighbourhood, close to downtown. I don’t have many close single female friends so I believe it’s important to nurture the relationships.
