Hello April!
Goodbye winter! Sadly I am still unable to run so I can’t enjoy the clear trails yet. Gosh it has been less than two weeks and I feel like it’s been forever. I know every runners says it when they have been sidelined but I have so much extra time.

I managed a short walk this week around my neighbourhood. My foot was throbbing after my walk so I knew it isn’t time for me to start running. Before I became a “runner,” I used to walk a lot. Despite my uncomfortable gait, it was nice to slow it down. I just moved here last August and I haven’t had a chance to check out the other houses and streets. When I am running, I am looking straight ahead.

I went to crossfit most days last week. When I couldn’t make it one morning, I did a home WOD that involved push ups, lunges and sit ups. It’s important to me that I stay somewhat active while my body heals. I scaled when I needed to at crossfit (which is usually every day. No change here!).

I have been EATING may too much lately. For the most part, I have been keeping it on the healthy front. I am not even hungry and I am stuffing something in my face. Oh and I may have re-introduced wine into my nights!
All in moderation! I assure you!

Being injured sucks. Amazing how "addicting" running is for our bodies. I feel like I'm vibrating when I'm hurt and can't run. Hope you heal up quickly.
Take care of yourself young lady, sending all the healing vibes your way xxx
