And that was my day off

It’s my turn to work this weekend so Thursday was my day off. I had to shift my schedule around in order to get in a longish run. I slept in until 8 a.m. Then I headed out around 9:30 a.m. My legs were not fully recovered from Sunday’s long run but I wanted to get at least 25K on my feet.

Mission accomplished! I felt pretty good save for the last few kilometres and that was to be expected. My route was very boring. I really, really need to find a new route for next week’s long run.

After my run ….. I had a facial at the awesome Safari Spa and Salon. I don’t think I have ever had a facial. It was absolutely wonderful. I splurged and had the 190-minute one that came with a mini massage. It was just want I needed. I’ve been feeling like an ugly duckling lately. I needed to pamper myself. I am going to pretend that I didn’t spend so much money.

Kelly and I went to mobility at 5:45 p.m. It was a BIG class. Kelly counted 31 people. Wow! We worked on ankle, hip, calf and shoulder mobility. At one point, I kicked some guy in the head during one of the movements. Sorry guy!

Great day off! Now bring on the working weekend!

  1. It's fun to pamper yourself! I haven't had a facial in a few years…I enjoy being prettied up sometimes!

Funny thing, I think I almost kicked a girl in front of me in yoga when I stretched my legs…she was too tall!

  2. LOL….I'm sorry I laughed when I read that you kicked some guy in the head!

I've never had a facial. ever. I am having some ugly duckling days lately too. I feel better when the sun is out more and my face gets some colour….lol. I don't think you can get a snow tan, can you? πŸ˜‰

  3. Sounds like the perfect day off! I've never had a facial, but definitely want one. I had a massage today though thanks to my work benefits πŸ™‚
