Recovery Run

I wasn’t feeling a long run today. I got a lot of distance in this week already. I felt the best thing for my training was a short recovery run. I’m generally not a fan of recovery runs. A lot of times, I think what’s the point? They feel like garbage miles to me. But today my legs were feeling stiff and I didn’t want to do nothing. Ignite is not open on Sundays so I didn’t have the option of a gym WOD.

                                        

I wore my new blue compression socks. As you can see, they do not cover up my bruise’s from yesterday’s Spartan. But they sure felt great. I’ve never tried this brand before. The guy at the running store suggested them when I couldn’t find my size in another. He said they were way prettier too. Sold.

                        
Sona, Brent and Yvonne were running the Harvest Run. I agreed to run a portion of the run with Sona. I was not a bandit. The race goes right by my house and it’s on my running route. I ran about 4K with Sona before I left to finish my run. 
What a beautiful day! Fall is here. I love fall running.
