Mondays will now be the day I update you on my marathon training. Another blogger is doing the same and I thought what a great idea. I have 14 weeks to go before the Tucson Marathon. Since I am starting to post my training, I will call last week, Week 1.
Saturday – Spartan Race (12-14k)
Monday – Rest
Tuesday – CrossFit (4x200m run included)
Wednesday – Rest/Strength at home with kettlebell
Thursday – Intervals (8k) + Slow run (8K) = 16K
Friday – Kettlebell action
Saturday – Spartan Race (12-14k)
Sunday – 7K recovery run/kettlebell love
Good week. I felt like vomiting when I was finishing up with my intervals. I am told that means I was doing them right. Yay! My new Garmin is awesome for intervals. I love that it vibrates when I am finished an interval. No need to keep glancing down at my wrist. This way I can concentrate keeping a great pace.
Most nights I got some great sleeps in. This has always been a struggle for me especially when I run after work. Overall a good start to my marathon training.
