I had planned to run intervals on Wednesday night but I was zonked. On Tuesday, I had another bout of insomnia. The next day I was dragging my feet and my body around. I thought any sort of running would be garbage.
I set out early along the trails. I warmed up with a light jog for about 2K. I was a little rusty so I decided to run 6x250m with a 30 second rest between intervals. Holy crap! I was gasping for air by the end. Running 250 metres doesn’t seem challenging but when you’re running fast with only a 30 second break, it’s a tough go! My Garmin 910xt is AMAZING.

After work I met Tracy for a short run at Heritage Ranch. We wanted a sneak preview of the obstacle course. I expected we would run about 5K but it turned out to be 8K because we lost our way in the pitch dark. I know some people may not think it’s cool that we checked parts of the route out in advance. We couldn’t help it. Super excited about Saturday!
