Nothing lift my spirits than shopping for new shoes. I really need a new pair for longer road distances. I drove to Running Room first thing this morning. I didn’t have my mind set on a particular shoe so I was happy to see that Catherine was working. She has a great shoe knowledge.
She handed over the New Balance RC 1400. I haven’t worn New Balance for a few years now so it was nice to go back to see what I’ve been missing.
Catherine handed them over and said try these. I pulled them on. And I knew at once I had to have them. My search was over and it only took five minutes.
I parked at Second Cup and set out for a run. The shoes are lightweight (5.7 oz) with some cushioning and mesh on the upper shoe. I kept my run short. My legs and feet felt great. I didn’t feel like I was pounding the pavement – more like skimming. Not to mention, it’s a good looking shoe.
I look forward to testing them at the Woody’s 10k this weekend.
