WOD

I started back at CrossFit this morning. I haven’t gone for two weeks because of the tapering for my marathon. Although it was not fun getting up early on a Saturday morning, I was happy to get back at it.We started with the deadlift before we moved onto our WOD.

Our WOD was: 3 burpees, 6 snatch, 9 squats AMRAP in 10 minutes (I think). I wasn’t paying too much attention to my reps. I’m struggling still with my snatch. I either over think the movement or don’t think about it enough. Ugh. I used the dowel. I don’t want to take out my teeth with a barbell to my face. Our instructor said my technique was better by the end of the WOD. He said I just need to practice.

Anyway it was a great workout to ease into it. I really missed my sessions. After CrossFitt I went to the Riverbend trails for an hour power walk. I am so thankful running wasn’t part of our WOD this morning.

I stopped to do a few pushups and crazy along the way. I know that sounds crazy. There was no one around so why not?

I made sure to give my poor body a good stretch when I finally made it home after a few errands.

Between my tasty Vitamix eats and my workouts, it was a good Saturday.
