The garage doors were open at Ignite. I did not feel like running again. Thankfully we did not. Instead we worked on the “snatch.” If you don’t know what a snatch is check out this video here.
Lionel demonstrated with the dowel. Then we tried our hand at it. It’s tough. I’ve added to the list of other things I need to work on. I am just not that fast in grasping new skills.
The good news is my back squat technique is much better than the last time I did them. Julie and I were partners. We squatted 65 pounds before we moved on to our WOD.
Our WOD was 7 KB swings and 7 MBS in 10 minutes. I didn’t bother to keep track because I was so frustrated with my ability to listen to master the snatch technique. Ugh. Like everything else – practice makes perfect!
The CrossFit Endurance clinic was posted. It runs twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays) for 10 weeks starting on May 14.
I will sign up but I expect to miss a few classes because of scheduled afternoon shifts. I don’t want to lose what little I have gained from the regular CrossFit classes so I will go to CrossFit on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. I am going to be very busy but it will be worth it. I am really looking forward to the clinic.
I love CrossFit Endurance guru and founder Brian MacKenzie. Check out his website here. You will learn something and fall in lust too.
