I don’t need to do separate hill training. All I have to do is run on the Red Deer trails. Talk about hilly! Maybe it’s because I have been running on the flat roads in my neighbourhood but I found the trails quite challenging. Hill after hill after hill.
At least now I know what’s in store for me in the Woody’s half-marathon. I have a month left to train. But I am going to switch up my mental game plan. I think I am going to use the half-marathon as a training run for the marathon. I’m already at the point where I can run 21k (or 13 miles) without too much trouble. Now I need to get pass this marker. After I figure out which marathon we’re running then I am going to get a marathon training plan. I contacted the local runnings store to ask about marathon training clinics. They only do one once a year (in January).
Looks like I will be on my own. Sigh.
