Brian and I shared a moment. Quite frankly, I can’t remember which song he was singing. It doesn’t matter. What matters is we shared a moment. He hopped up on the closest speaker to me, pointed at me and sang. His deep blue eyes met my hazel ones. It felt like eternality but I am sure it was only a few seconds. But it did happen. Honest, it did.

The Backstreet Boys were my Saturday night (read my review tomorrow afternoon at www.dailyheraldtribune.com). I got caught up with the excitement of it all and enjoyed myself. I hadn’t been to a pop concert in so long. I didn’t recognize most of the songs and the ones I did…just barely.

I was never a fan. And I know those of you who will read this are nodding your heads in agreement. In fact, I can’t really remember when they were big. Yes it was the early 1990s but I was in to other music at that point.

If I can convince our fabulous photographer to give me a photo I will post a picture tomorrow. He has his own BSB story. Apparently he was taking pictures where he should not have been and a struggle broke out with him and security. To make a long story short, they erased some of his memory card and let him go with a warning. He was lucky because the guards threatened to stop the concert. Lucky for Joel it didn’t happen. Otherwise he would have had hundreds of angry preteens and teens on his hand. Not a pretty scene.
