When I think about Tuesday, the only fact that comes to mind is – Tuesday is the most productive day of the week.
I recently grabbed a four-pack of Freebomb Pale Ale by Tuesday Brewing off the shelf of a local liquor store. With more than 40 craft beer breweries in Calgary, it’s hard to keep track of all the local beers.
My research tells me Tuesday Brewing is relatively new, starting operations in 2023. They offer three NA beer on tap: Freebomb Pale Ale, Hazy IPA Paradisco and Modern Lager Knollypop.
There isn’t much of an origin story on its channels other than an emphasis on its “uncompromising beer for uncompromising people.”
The website is simple and to the point (Shop, FAQ, Find our Beer) but what sets it apart is its comprehensive fun FAQ section. No over the top bio just a focus on the non-alcoholic beer. Questions range from – What’s in the beer? to Can I overdose on vitamins by drinking too much Tuesday beer? That’s right – the beer is infused with Vitamin C and Vitamin D.
I love a good FAQ section – especially the ones that answer all my unoriginal silly questions. Read for yourself here.
My Review – Freebomb Pale Ale by Tuesday Brewing (355 ml, 50 calories, 0.5% ABV)
Name Bling (name creativity) – I am taking a leap here to assume the brewery was named after Tuesday because the brewmasters want you to enjoy a NA beer any day of the week. And you can be productive while drinking NA beer? ⭐⭐⭐
Sip n’ Savour (Taste) – Smooth and easy tasting. I quite enjoyed this refreshing pale ale. “Citra and Amarillo hops balance the classic English base malt,” according to Tuesday Brewing. The additions of Vitamin C and D do not sway me too much. Nice to have for sure especially if you are worried about getting in your daily nutrition (but there’s got to be a better way). ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wallet Wellness Index (Value for Money) – I can’t remember what I paid for the four-pack. The website offers 4x355ml for $11.99. Not bad. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Label Love (Packaging/ Presentation) – I liked the compact box – it was colourful and eye catching. While fancy, the extra packaging is not necessary. The blue and yellow cans are stylish and fun with some cute slogans “Boom. You’ll want to crush this all day.” I much prefer the grab and go style of a four or six-pack. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall – Great tasting beer. I would but it again for those hot summer days when I need a cold one. I will definitely try the IPA next. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
