Body beaten down? Yoga to the rescue

I thought I was going to puke.

Christina, our shiny, happy yoga instructor, told us to put our mouth and nose on the mat while in locust pose (?). I thought I had got my sick feelings under control. Not so much. It’s been about six or seven weeks since I went to Bikram Hot Yoga. I took a month off so I would have more time to run and to account for when I was on holiday.

One month turned into six or seven weeks. (Yes I feel your judgement.)

Life, as you know, get in the way. Two weeks holiday. Ultra training. New digs. Newish job. It all adds up. But I am back. And the best way to find my groove is to sign up for a 30-day yoga challenge. It starts on Sept. 6 and runs until Oct. 5. I am already behind as I am away that first weekend for Lost Souls. I see doubles in my future.

YOGA TO THE RESCUE

I hurt. Iron Legs has left its impression on me. I have to sort this out straight away. No time to be injured. I will practice yoga just about every day until Lost Souls. My body always feels so much better after consistent yoga practice. It hurt like hell today but that was to be expected. Tomorrow will only be better. I am hoping to get a massage and an appointment with the chiro this week too.

My plan is to run long this weekend so cross your fingers that this little hiccup will be gone by Saturday. Don’t you hate it when things do not fall in place like they are supposed to?

So looking forward to 30-days of yoga. I am closer to the studio now so I may see some 6 a.m. classes in my future … but just not this week.
