Pictures captured on my run

Social media has weaved its way into just about every aspect of our lives. By now you have probably heard the expression – if you didn’t take a picture, it didn’t happen.

I don’t take pictures on every run because  … well … I am running. I may snap a quick picture before and after my runs. Surely if I see something truly beautiful, I will stop and snap a quick pic. I like to post pictures on my Instagram or simply on Twitter.

My followers like to know what I have been up that day or if I can simply inspire someone to get off the couch then why the heck not? Besides you never know what you are going to see on the trails.
picturesSometimes I have to stop for carnage on the trail. A big wind storm blew through the city on Friday. Poor tree. Hopefully this was the worst of the damage.

picturesI took this while waiting for the crosswalk light to change. This is near my office where I typically run after work. I loved the clouds in this picture.

I don’t know how long this moose has been near the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. I noticed it for the first time last week. Sure I’ve come across the real deal but never a metal statue. Cool, right?

This batman toy was on a bench in Cochrane. An old man told me it’s been there for months. How weird is that? Maybe it has to do with the recent release of the Batman vs. Superman movie.

seenonmyrunI stopped to tie my shoe on one of the Bragg Creek trails recently when I was taken back by the beauty. Isn’t Mother Nature marvellous? Sometimes we just need to slow down and appreciate what is before us.

  1. Batman! Love. I enjoy all the graffiti/street art except yesterday it had all been covered up with that crappy grey paint. Sometimes there’s stuff sprayed onto the pathways ‘love the life you live’ was one of my favourites. Sadly gone now.

Yes. Pretty weird, right? I love coming upon random sayings like that.

  2. Lovely photos! I love the Batman – is he stretching after a run? 😉
