It’s that time of year again. Time to refocus and get on with the stuff I put off during my action-packed summer.
Reading. Writing. Blogging. Volunteering.
I don’t know about you but every winter I get a little stir crazy. No doubt it’s the weather and the feeling of being isolated for the next five months. It’s enough to drive anyone a little batty. Once again I am determined not to jump off any bridges into a frozen lake or river.
I went back to yoga this week. I think the combination of a heavy shoulder week at crossfit and yoga did not help matters in the shoulder department. I am super determined to stick with it. I want to be bendy as they say.
This week I focused on my technique and form at crossfit. The WODs were gruelling as usual. Sadly I only ran twice this week but I plan to make up for it this weekend. On Tuesday I ran in the middle of the day. With the sun beating down on me, it was a wonderful thing. Sitting in my office for a couple of hours in my sticky clothes was not that fun though.
Sprouts! I bought large mason jars for my kimchi but I found another use for them. Don’t they look beautiful? I need to find new ways to use my sprouts in my meals. Any ideas?
Postscript:
I passed the first step in my journey to become a certified running coach. More on this later. This weekend I am going to get lost in the mountains.
