Oh to be back into the run of things …
I enjoyed great runs last week with some even better company. While I feel completely out of shape, I know it’s best to gradually build up my mileage and listen to body.

I headed out to Lacombe on Sunday for a catch up with Diane. I haven’t spoken to her since she ran Lost Soul last weekend. I wanted to hear all the details from her race.
Diane is working on her warrior pose in this photo. (I am supposed to photoshop her on the bench.) I can’t say I wasn’t a little jealous when she gave me the lowdown on Lost Soul. (Next year!)

Sometimes I tend to get a little hungry on the trail. Thankfully there’s lots of trees to choose from! (Just kidding. I like to hug trees not eat them!) Seriously look at this beaver’s work.

Earlier in the week, Brent and I took to the horse trails at Heritage Ranch. After our run Brent whipped up a little dinner for the three of us. Good times!
In less than two weeks I have my 10-miler. I am not under any illusions that it will be a speedy one. Survival will be the theme of my race (and not completely sucking).
Happy Monday.
