Every single time I go out for a run, I spend a few frustrating minutes trying to untangle my iPod earbuds. A logical person would nip the problem in the bud by storing them “untangled” after a run.
But oh no not me. The iPod gets tossed on a bookshelf or stuffed into a gym bag. Sound familiar? So when I was invited to try out Cordskinz I jumped at the chance. (Well after I Googled the company because I had never heard of the product.)
Cordskinz are hollow plastic skins that fit over your earbud cords. They come in a variety of different colours. I was sent the ice blue and glitter pink. I love the bright colours. (They ship internationally, if you want to try them out.)
The instructions were a little confusing so I went to the Cordskinz website and watched the video. I am a visual person and I needed to watch someone else do it first. It was very easy to do. It took me less than a minute to put on the skins.
Looks great, right? Now the real test was to wear them on my run. The skins add a little weight to the cords which takes a little getting used to. I never have to worry if I have the bud in the right ear. In my case, I know the blue skin is for my right ear. So many times I have put the wrong bud in the wrong ear.
I can’t say enough about the colours. They are another way to accessorize your run and keep things fun. But most of all, they saved me precious time. Once I am done with my run, I can still toss my earbuds in my bag or on the counter. And next time I do not have to spend 10 minutes untangling them. I can just run and go!
