Sleep has come easy for me this week.
Like many, I am not so not a fan of the annual time shift. On Sunday we moved our clocks ahead by one hour to mark daylight saving time. It hasn’t been fun.
I’m so zonked. I can’t afford to lose an hour of sleep. I barely get enough now. It’s been a struggle to keep my eyes open at work. I am not alone in my feelings about daylight saving time. There’s a movement in North America that is trying to abolish the time shift. They have my support! Where do I sign the petition?
Anyway …. spring or something like it has arrived in Alberta. This past weekend I wore a running shirt! I even twisted Brent’s arm to come out of hiding and into the trail system. (Thanks Sona for lending me your husband!)
It was a great weekend to be outside. Spring was definintely in the air. There were so many people out and about. Nice to see all those blaring white legs! On Sunday I shot the Hypothermic Half in Red Deer for a photo spread in today’s paper.
I do not get to choose which photos appear so it was a surprise. It didn’t turn out too bad. While I am still at the paper, I am going to focus on taking more photos. I joined the local photo club and it’s been very informative so far. I’ve been a photographer since high school. Pictures and words have always been my first loves. I am fortunate that I get paid to do both โ write and take pictures.
nice spread. Bet it was fun taking pics at the race! I always get lots on inspiration watching runners at a race!!
ME too! (And a little lazy!)
Daylight savings time has been a struggle this week – especially when I've had to be at work early and late this week!
And I'm doing a time change on Sunday…ahhh
It is not fun lol
I love your pics! It's a wonderful thing when your career is also your interest. Since the time change our kitties don't really want to get up in the morning, silly things. I don't want to either but that's a year round issue I have ๐
oh yes .. I agree!
