I love Dr. Segal's compression socks

You know I was expecting much sobbing from my legs on Monday following Rundle’s Revenge. And there were tears. But there was no way around it, I still had to run. (I skipped 6 a.m. Crossfit)  I believe it’s always good to do a shake out run after a hard effort. Good to flush all the ugly out of your legs.

Fortunately my new compression socks from Dr. Segal’s arrived on Friday. The good folks at Dr. Segal’s sent a lovely grey and black argyle pair. Super pretty and not too flashy. I am not a fan of matchy-matchy. I knew there wouldn’t be a better time than this week to truly give these babies a run through.

On Monday afternoon I readied myself for my 8-10K shake out run. I put on my new lulu shorts and pulled on my new socks. Some compression socks are such a pain in the butt to put on and take off. I think these were easier because they are graduated compression. An awesome diagram was included in the box for those who may need a little extra help putting them on. Score one for me. No instructions needed.
I must say … they felt amazing. Not too tight and not too loose. I could feel them on my legs but they didn’t feel heavy or constricting. My legs felt fresh and I rocked a nice 8K run.

In fact, they felt so good I wanted to test them again. I wore them on Tuesday at the track – the predicted DOMS wake up call. Again my legs felt fresh and energized. Maybe the socks were lined with magic fairy dust?

In case you were wondering, I did take them off this week. I wore them again at Crossfit on Wednesday and during Thursday’s tempo run. I can’t get enough. I bet they could pass for regular socks for work.
They just felt so damn good on my poor, tired legs. I want more. I’ve tried other brands before and I don’t think my legs ever felt so good. A big plus is the ability to put them on and take them off quickly because I am a busy woman. They are also Canadian-made and not over-the-top expensive.

I’m a fan.

    1. Oh-and being able to put them on without pulling a muscle in my arm is a BIG bonus.
