March goals & Motivation Wall

Gosh is it March already? I am a little bit behind in blogging. Saturday threw my whole weekend out of whack. My Versa’s battery didn’t survive the deep freeze on Friday night so I had get a boost and a new battery.

I had big plans  –  stocking up on fresh produce from the indoor market, picking up a friend to run, tutoring and much more! All that had to be pushed aside for another day. (We did go to the gym about seven hours later than what was planned.) Instead I spent hours at the car shop. (While I waited I studied for my law course so that’s one bright spot.) My bill came to a big $270 including the boost from the tow truck driver. Sigh.

I’m glad February is over. That means spring is on its way, right?
Back in January, I created a Motivation Wall after seeing a few on Pinterest. I’m a visual person and I thought this would be a fun way to help me stay on track. I am checking off the weeks to my June marathon. I’ve also added a few inspirational quotes and pictures. It’s posted in my living room. I can see it when I am watching television or sitting down to eat.

March goals:

  • Drink: My goal is to drink 32 ounces of water – two Nalgene bottles every single day. Lately I have been less hydrated than usual. Got to get on this especially as I ramp up my training.
  • Catch: My goal is to catch another hour of sleep every night. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately and I have to make some changes.

  • Connect: I want to become more active with my ambassador programs this month. I’ve been caught up with work and such that I haven’t been connecting as much as I would like. I’m missing out on all the fun!
What are your goals this month? What do you think about motivation walls or boards?

  1. Love your goals, I never thought about making sleep a goal, but your right that is an important one! I am like you, I am hoping to get more active with my ambassador programs too, things keep coming up but I was just thinking the other day how much I am missing out on because I haven't gotten my act together lately:) Good luck with your goals!!!

  2. I love motivational boards. 3 Years ago I made a vision board on my computer that became my wallpaper…I accomplished the majority of my goals that year. I need to do something similar again this year….thanks for the reminder to get moving on it!!!
