Quick marathon training update

First off let me give a big shout out to my guest bloggers this week – Robert, Karen and Tanya. You can come back anytime you want.

Happy Thursday. I wanted to give you a quick update on my marathon training. It’s been going okay. I have five weeks to turn that okay into great. While the problems with my right leg are stopping me from going full out.

My long runs are going great. I still need to work on longer tempo runs. I’ve been sleeping more. That’s a big deal for me. I’ve turned off the television and pulled up the blankets. I can really tell the difference.

My diet on the other hand continues to be one of my shortcomings. Sure I eat healthy but I struggle with eating enough at the right times or at all. I will overcome!

I added a daily alert to my iPhone to remind me to drink water. Maybe I should add eat a snack!!

So that’s my quick & dirty update.
