It was raining and cool when I started out for my run. I love running in the fall. It’s probably my favourite time of year to run. Not too hot and not too cold. I only wish it lasted a little longer before the snow came.
The trails were bare because it was late morning. Most people were at work. I ran to my favourite spot for intervals. The trail is relatively flat and surrounded by water and trees. I ran 4×400 with 2.5k for a warm up and cool down. Challenging as always, the intervals were a real lung buster. With the rain coming and my breath coming in hard gasps, I felt alive.
Running fast was just the remedy I needed to get me through this busy week.
