I wanted to get in a few good speed workouts this week. But after I ran a 5k tempo on Tuesday, I only felt worse. I threw up my hands in the air and decided – this would be a rest week. Sigh. I was not happy with last week’s training and now here I have another extremely low mileage week. I hope this doesn’t mess up my marathon training too much.
Cold be damned. I will run Melissa’s 22K race on Saturday. Unless there’s a miracle and I am miraculously recovered by Saturday, I do not have high expectations for this race. It will be what it will be.
I am looking forward to seeing my pal Tiffany who is racing the 10k. Not going to let this cold business get in the way of of a good time. A weekend in Banff is just what I need.
