I met Megan at the gym around 8 a.m. for our weekly WOD. Holidays and life have been in the way so this was the first time this month. Catherine and Becky were both unable to make it so it was just the two of us.
Megan picked the “Lumberjack 20.” I didn’t mind it because there were five or six different exercises. I like diversity in WODs. There’s running in the WOD too so we thought it would be great preparation for the Super Spartan next month.
My right hamstring continues to give me grief so I scaled the 185-pound deadlift to 155 pounds. I also scaled to 75-pound OHS to 35 pounds. After doing the WOD, I realized I have to work on my OHS. Holy crap I sucked. Megan was kind enough not to mention my sloppy form or when I nearly dropped the barbell on her.
This WOD was LONG. We each took about 26 minutes. I may have done the DB squat cleans completely wrong. By the time we were halfway done, there were a ton of people in the gym. I just wanted to finish without an audience. Not my finest WOD but it was super fun. Megan rocked it as usual!
Next week I decided I will definitely give the barbell some love.
