Screwing up my alarm clock = Messing up my plans

I was supposed to be running the trails in Canmore today. The plan was to meet up with a training group for the Grizzy race series. Last night I packed everything so I wouldn’t have to scramble around looking for things and charging my Garmin. I didn’t know the group but I was totally stoked to get to the mountains.



But … I slept in. I set my alarm for 5:14 a.m. but I failed to change it from weekdays to weekends. I woke up about 7:35 a.m. The drive to Canmore is about 2 and a half hours. The group was departing at 10 a.m. I probably would have made it if I skipped breakfast and coffee. I didn’t want to do either so I stayed home. I was so mad at myself. I was really looking forward to this all week. 

Sigh. I didn’t let it ruin my whole day. I made the best of my day. Don’t you hate that when things like this happen?
