I probably should not be running. My hammie has been giving me hell for about a week now. At first I thought it would work itself out within a few days. No such luck. It seems to be getting worse.
I went for a short and easy 5K run on my dinner break at work. I just had to get outside. I have been itching to run since Sunday. My hammie cried most of the way. I don’t know what I did to it. I have been stretching like crazy but nothing seems to do the trick.
I haven’t had any hamstring problems for a long time. In fact, I don’t think they have given me any grief since I took up crossfit. I’m thinking this is a left over injury from my 50k that is only now fully present.
The plan is to continue taking it easy.
Maybe ice is the answer? I don’t want to miss any time training so I have to be careful. Suggestions?
