I’m so thrilled for my pal, Audrey. She set a new PR for the half-marathon distance in Vancouver. Awesome! She’s had a tough go over the last year and more. She proved that you can come back stronger than ever from an injury! No excuses. She listened to doctor’s orders and slowed down.
I was thrilled when she sent the text after her race on Sunday. I’m so proud. I wish I was there to see her cross the finish line! As you know, Audrey and I ran our first half-marathon and marathon together.
In December, we’re going to run a marathon in Arizona together. We hope to qualify for Boston together too. That would be awesome. I’m in a different age category than Audrey so I have to run 10 minutes faster. Ugh! Lots of work ahead but it would be so worth it.
