Getting pumped for my long run

So we meet again. It’s early Sunday morning and I am trying to get my act together for this long run. Weather lately has really zapped my desire to run long in these conditions. Right now it’s about -21C. I won’t make the mistake again of wearing my hydration pack on the outside of my jacket.

We’ve had some crazy weather this month. On the second day of spring, there was a crazy chain-reaction collision on Hwy 2, south of Leduc. Miraculously nobody was killed. The day before it was a fine first day of spring kind of day. We all had a little extra spring in our step. Will this ever end? You know I am so ready for spring
Sunday morning Tips to snap out of it:
1) Drink cold water. For some reason this wakes me up.
2) Drink coffee. 
3) Turn up the volume. Dance around.
4) Look at the calendar. (My ultramarathon is 8 weeks and 5 days away)
5) Make a deal with myself. (You can nap after the run!)
