Here’s a snapshot of this week’s WODs. I skipped Wednesday’s workout. Back on Friday to make it 4 times this week. I am feeling more confidence in the classes. It’s taken so long to feel comfortable. I don’t feel as awkward or stupid as much as I used to.
I didn’t mind today’s WOD. I opted for single skips instead of attempting DUs. (Another skill I need to work on) We had a class of 8 this morning. That’s big for a Thursday at 6 a.m. Nice to see the familiar faces.
I am a slow rower. I can’t seem to get the hang of it. I am always the last one off the rower. I checked the board today. I was one of the slowest people by 3 minutes for the entire WOD. I don’t usually like to compare myself to others but this time I couldn’t help. I need to work harder.
I set a new PR with my deadlift by 20 lbs. Yay! My pull ups still need A LOT of work. I tried a few pull ups after class this morning. I can’t imagine being able to lift my own body weight. Seems impossible. I either have to lose 100 lbs or really step up my strength training. The kettlebell training is helping and my push ups are much stronger.
