I’m feeling tons better. This rest is doing my body good. My foot doesn’t cry bloody murder when I bounce out of bed in the morning. And it doesn’t hurt to walk. I am on the mend. See I told you I would beat this.
I am careful not to spend too much time on my feet. The WODs are enough for me. Fortunately we haven’t run and done much impact stuff this week. Rowing has been a welcome change.
Although I am feeling better, I am determined to keep to my self-imposed hiatus from running. There’s snow on the ground so I am not even tempted to give my sneakers a go. Time will tell if I am truly healed.
I am thinking about joining this half-marathon group from Wild Mountain. It starts on Nov. 6. They meet about two times a week to train for the hypothermic half in Red Deer. May be just what I need to east back into running.
