No energy + little motivation to run + sore calves and butt = Post-race blues. I’ve been so out of it this week. I just want to sleep. My calves were bothering me for three days. Now my butt and hamstrings are giving grief. I blame my minimalist shoes.
I made the mistake of going to CrossFit on Tuesday night. Not my brightest idea. I could barely run 200 metres and my squats were painful. Big mistake. Clearly I need more time to allow my body to recuperate. It’s tough but it’s a must do!
This weekend I am getting back into the swing of things. I am finally going to start swimming again. I was inspired by the triathlon. Also I was surprised Sylvan Lake isn’t as cold as everyone told me it was. Everyone says the lakes in Alberta are cold. It wasn’t that bad at all. Knock on wood, it’s warm this weekend. I want to go swimming!
