I took a two-hour nap before CFE tonight. I was zonked from last night’s 80s themed after party at @suzesilver. Too much head banging to Guns and Roses. I also have a wicked sun burn on my shoulders and neck. Not fun.
I didn’t get a chance to properly stretch my legs yesterday after my race. My legs were feeling sore again so I had a nice ice bath before CrossFit.
We were back at Ignite for our Monday class. To the left you will see exactly what we did. We built on what we learned last week and added more technique.
As part of our WOD we ran 4×200 metres. My splits were just about bang on (37 seconds, 37 seconds, 38 seconds, 38 seconds). Talbot instructed us to run “normally” in the third repeat and to run what we perceived was the CFE method for the last repeat.
He recorded the last two repeats. Then we watched the two takes on the wall of the gym. The tape revealed I lift my toe too much, my arms cross my body and I am not in the air as much as I should be. Lots to work on.
In a couple weeks, we’ll be recorded again for comparison purposes. The good news is my tan looks good on film.
