not so good on Friday

So it’s Good Friday. I volunteered to be one of the three reporters on duty. I don’t know why. Today was slow, slow, slow.

I am so ready for the weekend. My training week has been good. I had to change my planned schedule because of weather and work commitments. On Monday, I ran a sweet 7k tempo run and on Tuesday a solid 10k steady run. On Wednesday, I attacked the Spruce Drive hill before the spring storm raged. Yesterday I skipped my tempo and worked my butt off at CrossFit.

Today I was feeling quite stiff in my shoulders so I booked a 30-minute massage. My massage therapist told me the obvious – my shoulders, upper back and chest are extremely tight and my shoulders are rounded. In other words? I am a mess.

She worked my chest and shoulders well and showed me some new stretches. I fear if I don’t take this seriously now I may in serious pain in coming years. So I booked another session for Thursday and I will faithfully do the exercises.

Sigh. I am falling to pieces.
