I ran across the CPR bridge to Heritage Ranch and around in a loop. The trails are pretty icy. I nearly fell twice and I had to brace myself. I don’t need to break anything at this point when I am feeling 100 per cent.
My left leg feels great. I feel great but my endurance is terribly lacking. I only have 6 weeks before the Hypothermic Half in Edmonton. I better get my butt moving. Got to get those long runs in.
Tomorrow I have a late work start so I hope to get in 15 km. I don’t care how long it takes. No excuses.
Snow is starting to come down in all its fluffy glory. I think we’re finally getting the winter we’ve been fearing. Boo. But that won’t hold me back. Remember what I said? No excuses.
Last year my favorite excuses were:
1) I have to work
2) I don’t have time
3) I’m injured (not really an excuse but there are other activities I could have done)
4) I’m afraid of getting injured
5) I’m tired
We all have excuses whether we admit them or not. While I have tons of goals this year, one of the most important ones is to work on my time management. Time is precious. Yet I still manage to waste it by watching a lame television show, spending too much time online or getting caught up in drama.
I want to look back at 2012 as the year I became a better person and truly made a difference. Our world is filled with too much chaos and craziness. I think we all need to just stop. Stop and breathe. Stop and think about what really matters.
Nice video!
I liked the video. I hate excuses. And snow, ugh. Not looking forward to that. This lack of snow so far this year has been nice.
