We went back to the Expo for a second day. I met my future husband and 2x World Ironman champ Tim DeBoom. I told him I was tired. He told me to suck it up and just run. I don’t think this relationship is going to work. Plus he’s already married. Sigh. He signed a picture and wrote Be Great.
Then I met Josh Cox who was really talkative and friendly. Josh said he has friends in Ottawa and he enjoyed running around the canal. Also we talked about Twitter because he follows me. He said he likes to follow “our kind” (runners). Josh wrote, Embrace the pain and signed using his Twitter handle.
Amy Palmiero-Winters was super nice. For those of you who don’t know her she’s an ultra marathoner. She’s a below-knee amputee who currently holds eleven world records in various track events. Amy wrote, Believe in You!
