I don’t know what I was thinking. Actually it’s like I wasn’t thinking. I decided to sleep in this morning and run later today. So I was up for a few hours. I cleaned up and organized my office. But then I got restless.
Time to run. Forget that it was after noon and the hottest part of the day. I should be able to clock 25 km. Big mistake. It was so bloody hot. I ran over the bridge to Heritage Ranch where I lost myself in the horse trails for 10 km. I still wanted to run for another 15 km but I just couldn’t do it. I ran back along the exposed trail with the sun beating down on me to my apartment to finish another 4 km.
I should have gone directly to the ski trails. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Lesson learned.
I am going to wait a little bit and run the Perimeter Trail. It’s an even 6 km. It’s too nice to stay inside. If I had one of those floating devices, I’d be on the river right now.
