I rocked 24 kilometres of trail

I am superwoman. I ran a blissful 24 kilometres this morning before work. I keep repeating “before work” because it’s a big deal.Usually I run my long runs after work on my working weekends. Then I can take my time and go to bed after a few hours of running.

Not today. I have to work 7.5 hours. And it feels good to jot down 24 kms in my logbook.

I started at 7:45 a.m. I ran over the CPR bridge to Heritage Ranch (10k) then a second loop. I planned to run to Riverbend Golf Course (9k) after this loop but I wanted to shake things up this morning. All my long runs in recent weeks ended at the golf course.

The second loop was much better than the first. My body takes forever to get with the program. I must make myself warm up before these runs. Anyway, I did a second loop but I still needed to run another 4k so I added distance by running past my apartment until I reached 2k and doubled back.

A quick shower and I was off to work. Only 84 days until New York City! I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

This run was much better than last week.
