I’m giving a shout out to this morning’s hero – Gu! Thank you for giving me that extra boost.
I ran 22k through torrential downpours. There was also a few jumps over fallen trees on the Perimeter Trail. My shins have the scratches to prove it.
It wasn’t raining when I started out. But midway the skies opened and I was drenched. I didn’t mind because there’s nothing wrong with getting a little wet.
I ran from my apartment to the turnaround spot near Riverbend and to Bower Ponds and back to my place.
I won’t lie. It wasn’t a perfect run. I had to visit the bushes twice. I should have given the coffee a pass this morning.
My legs were screaming at the 20k mark but I pushed through to finish strong.
Only 90 days left until I put all my training on the line.
