Armed with my Nikon, I took a walk. I believe you can never really know a city unless you have walked its streets. So nearly five months after I moved here I finally took that much needed walk.
I walked from my apartment, across the CPR bridge, through construction sites to the downtown core.
I picked a great day for the stroll. It’s beautiful.
I explored a few shops and spoke to staff. The sun has put a smile on everyone’s face. Because there is so much construction going on downtown, there wasn’t that many people out walking or shopping. At least that’s what I think. Parking would be a nightmare.
I imagine when the work is done it will liven up the streets.
I happened upon a Latin American grocery store which reminded me that I should get started on my Spanish lessons. I am staring at a few of my books. Must get to work this weekend.
