I left my both my shorts and sports bra at home. I rushed out of the house this morning and forgot to double check my running bag. Last night I specially did laundry so I would have a fresh bra and shorts to run in. No such luck.
Fortunately I had my tri shirt tucked in my bag. It has a built in bra in it. As a rule these type of shirts never work for because of the bounce effect. I had to run and I didn’t want to drive across town to grab my bra because there would be a good chance I wouldn’t leave the house again.
So I applied tons of vaseline (still forgetting to get bodyglide) and set off a little looser than usual.
Actually I felt pretty good. There was little bounce. I felt free. I managed to get to 10k before I started to feel a little friction in the front. I decided to call it quits at 12k because I didn’t want to deal with too much chafing again this weekend.
Even though I had a shitty training week, I was okay with shortening my run. There’s always tomorrow. And the next day.
