documented chaos

I killed my tempo run. I was focused. I was determined. I read somewhere once that you should always be true to the type of run you are on or know the purpose of your run.

John Stanton says for my tempo run I should run at my 10k race pace. I don’t really have a pace so I just visualized I was running a 10k race. I ran pretty hard. My training plan suggests I run my tempo runs at 5:24 a kilometre. I kept in the 5:00-5:35 range.
I was breathing heavily. I’m taking that as a good sign. I ran to Heritage Ranch from Bower. It’s a nice route because it is shaded and I don’t have to maneuvre around people so much.
You know I am really enjoying my training. I’ve become a little obsessed with talking about it but I know eventually it will wear off. Or someone will clobber me with my notebook. Next up – 6k steady run.
