I begged our paper’s theatre critic to let me sit next to her for at least one show this season. So tonight I tagged along while she reviewed the musical Title of Show at the Matchbox.
The show was good. I’ll post the link to Lana’s review once it hits the print. It was nice to experience a little culture. I had to skip my run tonight because of the timing but it was nice to do something out of the ordinary.
I love little theatres. I hope to see more in Red Deer. Because of my shitty work hours in Grande Prairie, I barely had time to do anything but complain. The theatre is set to close after this show finishes its run. Not sure why. Most likely it has something to do with funding. I liked the groove of the show. Lana tells me the Ignition Theatre, the production company, will run shows out of another venue in the city so that’s good news.
